Royal Chapel of St.Anthony,Old Goa

Royal Chapel of St.Anthony is situated opposite of the ruins of St. Augustine
and south of Our Lady of Rosary Church at Old Goa. 
The Royal Chapel of St.Anthony was built in 17th century.It is dedicated to St.Anthony,patron saint of Portuguese army and navy.

It is said that this Chapel is one among the earliest Churches to be built in Goa by Alfonso-de-Albuquerque.
The Royal Chapel of St.Anthony is a semicircle small Chapel. The facade exhibits unique style and it is not a copy of any famous Portuguese architectural design.The doorway of the Chapel features a semi-circular arch and twisted pilasters.The shutter exhibits the famous Augustinian symbol.
